March in Colorado

Yeah! It is finally March and we are predicted to have weather in the 60s and 70s. Maybe now the snow that has been in my backyard since November will finally met.

What I didn’t say in the last paragraph is that we had snow on Monday resulting in another 4 inches on the pile and closed I-70 through the mountains.

For those that are not from Colorado, or not spent a great deal of time here (except flying in for our snow), this is what we call — Spring.

Yes, beautiful weather one day and a blizzard the next. Okay, REAL Coloradans will say, “Who says it waits a day?” That’s right, of all the places I’ve lived, Colorado is the only place I’ve lived where there are 50 degree shifts in one day. Admittedly, when I lived in Honduras we joked that you could set your clock on the weather. It rained at 7, 3, 6 and 10. And the winter just meant it was a little dryer than the summer. At one point we threatened to fire our weather officer because almost anyone could do his job.

So for now it is beautiful weather and I may break out the bike, but I am not putting the snow shovel away quite yet.
